Movehappy Physiotherapy began as Berg Physiotherapy in 2002 and has now grown to incorporate ten physiotherapists.
Movehappy physiotherapists have a strong commitment to ongoing education. Four of our physiotherapists have completed postgraduate Masters Qualifications in Physiotherapy in addition to their Bachelor of Physiotherapy, with another due for completion at the end of 2014. All practitioners are university educated and accredited with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA)
Movehappy Physiotherapists have a focus on addressing form to improve function. Put more simply, our goal is to address the underlying cause of dysfunction as opposed to simply treating pain. We do this using a number of methods including dry needling, joint mobilisation and manipulation, exercise therapy (including the use of real time ultrasound), and the use of orthotics and braces where appropriate.
Movehappy Physiotherapists also put a lot of emphasis on accurate diagnosis so that an appropriate action plan can be formed. This is particularly important in the case of acute orthopaedic injuries where decisions about when to immobilise using braces, when to refer on for surgery and when to rehabilitate are paramount.
